Dance Attire

Part of learning to dance is to present the proper appearance, this includes clothing that allows the teacher to see the proper shape and placement of the body. Children need to have a neat appearance at all times. This includes both hair and dress.

Pre school children should not wear jewellery or watches in class. No wings, wands, jiffies or tiaras. No baggy clothing or zips should be worn.

Students may wear a costume or tutu but it should still be form fitting and not too big or long. Costumes should not restrict movement or hide faces or heads.

Bare feet or full-soled ballet shoes are appropriate footwear.

Jiffies must not be worn to class.

Socks must be taken off after the warm up.

Students should wear a cover-up outside the studio, as it is not appropriate for students to dress only in dancewear.

Appropriate dancewear and cover-ups are available for purchase at Bebe Ballet.
